HON. ENGR. ABUBAKAR MOMOH (FNSE, PPA)
Engr. Abubakar E. Momoh started his Engineering career upon his graduation from the University of Benin in 1989.
His quest for knowledge took him to the University of Lagos where he obtained a Masters Degree in Chemical Engineering. He also holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma.
A COREN registered Engineer, he is also an active and financial member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers and a Fellow, Institute of Public Administration of Nigeria.
Engr. Momoh has attended numerous trainings and seminars, relating to Engineering, politics and management, in Nigeria and abroad where he also featured prominently in presentation of a number of papers.
Right from his university days, Engr. Abubakar Momoh had been an outstanding political figure which he translated to the larger context of the Nigerian society in which he has served meritoriously from the least position of councilor through Local Government Chairman, Member State House of Assembly and Member House of Representatives, all in elective capacities.
In all of these positions he held, he used the opportunity to advance the cause of Engineering as he was always serving in the Committee on Works and Power at different levels of government, defending the overall interest of Engineering.
Today, Hon. Engr. Abubakar Momoh is the Minister of Niger Delta Development, who is well known for his unwavering commitment to honesty, transparency and ethical conduct.
He is a Justice of Peace (JP) and a recipient of various traditional titles in Edo State which includes amongst others: the Udi of Auchi Sacred Kingdom, the Ezomo of Three Ibie Kingdom, the Otsegbe of Okpella Kingdom, the Obadan of Okpe Kingdom and the Okhai of South Ibie Kingdom, etc.
He is married with children.
