The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs, MNDA, Dr. Babayo Ardo has declared that Engr. Patrick Allen Okereafor (FNSE) is one of the versatile, experienced and committed administrators he met on ground when he joined the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs and his exit would create a vacuum in the ministry.
Dr. Babayo Ardo made this statement during the valedictory session organized by the management of MNDA to celebrate the retirement from the Civil Service of the Director, Housing and Urban Development Engr. Patrick Allen Okereafor who also clocked sixty years, Wednesday 17th, March 2021 in Abuja.
Dr. Ardo described Engr. Okereafor as a transparent, honest and credible personality, noting that a Civil Service is a collective Nation Building enterprise, which every participant must lay their own layer at the appointed time.
Speaking further, the Permanent Secretary expressed worry that the Ministry was losing its core team of experienced Directors he had related with on the job, assuring him that the Ministry would continue to engage them considering their wealth of experiences.
Other Directors present at the occasion described the Man of the Moment as a Friend of all, Easy going, Generous, Team Player, Mentor, Talented, Selfless in Service, one who takes the welfare of staff at heart and a good hearted gift to the Ministry.
In appreciation, the Celebrant expressed his heart felt gratitude to God almighty who has kept and saw him through the journey of civil service, he thank the management, staff, family and friends for all the opportunities privileges and support he had enjoyed while in service.
He said he is a fulfilled person having attained the age of 60 and 35 years of meritorious service.
