The Honourable Minister, Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs (MNDA), Sen. Godswill Akpabio, CON, has welcomed the new redeployed Permanent Secretary, Dr. Babayo Kumo Ardo to the Ministry.
The Minister with the outgoing Permanent Secretary, Mr. Olusade Adesola and Management staff of the Ministry received the newly redeployed PS in Abuja on Monday, August 31, 2020.
While welcoming the incoming Permanent Secretary, Sen. Akpabio stated that Dr. Ardo had worked with Gombe State Government as Permanent Secretary for many years and has served in various capacities before his transfer to the Federal Civil Service, where he rose to become a Permanent Secretary.
He explained that he is familiar with the terrain and expect him to use his vast experience to move the Ministry and region forward.
Sen. Akpabio commended the outgoing Permanent Secretary Mr. Olusade Adesola for his services to the Ministry and congratulated him for his redeployment to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), explaining that FCT is more loaded than MNDA in terms of area councils and activities to keep the organization standing. He therefore wish him a successful tenure.
Dr. Ardo in his remarks expressed his delight to be in the Ministry and thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for giving him the rare opportunity to contribute his quota to the development of the Niger Delta region.
Speaking earlier, the outgoing Permanent Secretary, Mr. Olusade Adesola, welcomed his successor. He said he had a good working relationship with the Ministers and the Management Staff of the Ministry and enjoined staff to accord him excellent working relationship.
